Sustainability

We believe sustainability means meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In addition to natural resources, we also need social and economic resources - sustainability is not just environmentalism. Looking to tomorrow is the right thing to do. However, there is more to it than that. There are many drivers for sustainable development: legislation, Government policies and strategies, financial benefits, and risk management, alongside the clear moral imperative.

We recognise the importance of climate change as we continuously invest in innovation and low carbon technologies, our goal is to have net zero emissions by 2030 complying with the UN agenda, working with partners such as Neolith, the industry pioneers in stone materials. Neolith stone is one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly materials on the market. The only materials we use in the production of our kitchens are steel, stone and glass, all clean durable and recyclable materials.

From cradle to grave all materials used for Life kitchens can be re-used, re-manufactured and recycled back into production after end-of-life use. We use no wood at all, cutting down trees severely affects habitats which can eventually lead to extinction of vulnerable species. By reducing wastes, recycling conserves natural resources, protects natural ecosystems, and encourages biological diversity, all of which enhance the long run sustainability of the biosphere. We care and we want to make a difference.
